The Story

Heatseekers is a Pittsburgh-based live band blending R&B, hip-hop, pop, and soulful influences into a dynamic live music experience. Through creative arrangements, talented musicianship, and an undeniable stage presence, the band brings a fresh perspective to familiar music.

The five-piece lineup is led by music director Royce Hearn (keys and vocals), a producer with over a million streams on songs he’s produced, with Aundre Robinson on vocals, Brandon “Bam Bam” Terry on drums, Eric D. Jr. on bass, and Ethan Barnard on trumpet. Guest musicians TK (guitar) and Josh (keys) sometimes join them. Their live arrangements turn songs like Tears for Fears’ “Everybody Wants to Rule the World,” Kanye West’s “Flashing Lights,” Goapele’s “Closer,” and Justin Timberlake’s “Until the End of Time” into full-band moments. The members bring a combined 40+ years of experience and over 200 events in their careers, and as Heatseekers they’ve brought that energy to Picklesburgh, three Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership events and Club Cafe.

Heatseekers is about more than the show. The band connects audiences, collaborates with other creatives, and contributes to the next generation of live entertainment. They believe live music should be exciting, innovative, and accessible, and that emerging talent deserves opportunities to be seen and heard. Their vision is to become a leading live entertainment brand originating in Pittsburgh, known for elevating emerging talent and connecting communities through music.

From club stages and festivals to private events and collaborations, Heatseekers brings versatility and energy to every stage.
